Creative Health
Working in collaboration with the University of Chester, Radiate Arts hosts placements for health-care students to gain experience in socially prescribed creative activities. These placements give students on the university’s medical programme a greater understanding of the benefits of creative expression and the therapeutic properties that art has in improving mental health and wellbeing in the community setting.

In partnership with the University of Chester, we are delivering workshops in their Creative Health module, undertaken by nursing students. Medical students participate in half-day placements with Radiate Arts to engage and develop an approach to mental health and wellbeing practices in a non-clinical setting.

Similarly with Lancaster University, we have provided extended placements for PhD Psychotherapy students to improve access to creative and mindfulness activities across a range of community group settings.

“Informative, interesting and therapeutic. I liked the range of activities.”.
“Very relaxing, this is something I wouldn't usually have the time for."
“I really enjoyed using different formats to express emotions.”
