What is Art Therapy?
Art therapy is a safe, private, and non-judgemental form of therapy that uses art-making alongside an art therapist to explore, reflect and process complex thoughts, feelings or experiences.
Engaging in Art Therapy can:

Make sense of change, loss, or illness

Manage stress, anxiety, or low mood

Offer a sense of self, choice, and control

Who is Art Therapy for?
Anyone! There is no experience necessary! Art therapy is for people of all ages and abilities, whether you love being creative or have never picked up a paintbrush. There is no “good” or “bad” in art therapy - what you create is yours and can reflect your own ideas. There is no single way sessions unfold, as each one is shaped by you. You can choose what to create, what to talk about, and how the time is used.
Your Art Therapist
Devany is Radiate Art’s Trainee Art Therapist from the University of Chester. In collaboration with the University of Chester, we offer support and work experience to final-year Art Therapy MA Students, providing a base for the Art Therapy student to build connections with other organisations and develop skills working with a wide range of community groups and individuals.
