This week: Automatic Drawing
Exploring the subconscious, we will be using a surrealist method to draw.
Without thinking about it, you will have a chance to draw based on intuition, making marks and shapes. After a bit of practicing this, we will start passing them to other group members for them to add onto the image with their own intuitive drawings. At the end of sessions there should be some interesting cooperative drawings. Pencils, pens, felt tips and a variety of paper will be provided for use.
All artmaking and discussion will be voluntary.
True Colours provides a safe, structured environment where members of the LGBTQ+ community can explore creative self-expression through creative workshops including art therapy. It will assist in developing individual and group resilience, giving people the opportunity to build their own toolkit that will better help them deal with the stresses of the modern world.
