Collage Self Portraits
You will be invited to create a self-portrait using the theme “identity”. This may be a literal self-portrait or something that represents you as a person. Collage is the practice of cutting and ripping materials, such as magazines, images, a variety of paper, to paste into a new image. Collage materials, tapes, and felt-tips will be provided, and feel free to bring your own to cut up. There will be time dedicated at the end to discuss how it felt to work with the materials and the theme. All artmaking and discussion will be voluntary. You are welcome to take your work at the end.
True Colours provides a safe, structured environment where members of the LGBTQ+ community can explore creative self-expression through creative workshops including art therapy.
