April 2 - Masks
For our first session of April I invite you to create a mask, reflecting on the parts of yourself you show to the world or, potentially, the parts you hide away. Using either pre-built masks or your own construction; we will have paper, fabric, and other materials to build with. After artmaking you will have a chance to wear them and show others your creation, as well as time to discuss how it felt to make and share with others the story behind your mask. All materials will be provided, and you are welcome to take home your artwork at the end.
Art Therapy provides a safe, structured environment where members of the community can explore creative self-expression. It will assist in developing individual and group resilience, giving you the opportunity to build your own toolkit that will better help you deal with the stresses of…
