ABOUT

ABOUT US

Watercolor Brush 8

Radiate Arts CIC is an inclusive, not-for-profit company working with local community groups, schools, libraries, charities, and wider organisations.

We facilitate creative workshops and experiences that promote positivity, connection, and wellbeing throughout local communities in Chester and Mid-Wales.

As well as hosting workshops for the wider community, we also deliver social prescribing workshops as part of our ongoing projects.

Providing creative experiences has enabled us to support Armed Forces Veterans, families who are victims of domestic abuse, women experiencing perinatal depression, people in recovery from addiction, LGBTQ+ groups, older people who are isolated, and young people who are managing their anxiety and depression.

Thanks to funding from The National Lottery, True Colours is a project providing creative workshops that enable people in our LGBTQ+ community to make social connections and express themselves creatively and freely for positive mental health and wellbeing.

Workshops are being held in Chester and include sculpture, painting, textiles, machine sewing and pattern construction, creative writing, art therapy and more.

Stories of the Severn

Connecting communities through history and nature

Stories of the Severn is a cultural heritage project funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, engaging people who share a common history in the source of the River Severn. Communities in Clywedog and Birmingham linked through a shared experience of the Clywedog Valley attended workshops and created artworks to explore and expand their connections.

Veterans' Creative Programme

Artistic and mindful activities for veterans

Radiate Arts CIC organises and provides free art workshops and outdoor residential experiences for veterans and their dependants.

WE'RE PROUD TO WORK WITH

WE'RE PROUD TO WORK WITH
“What did I get out of the course? I got to spend a few days in a beautiful location, doing something worthwhile and learning new skills. More importantly, I garnered a sense of worth and fellowship and spent time with people who understand my situation and care enough to help me through it. I often feel abandoned and discarded, disappointed and let down but this course and the continued support from your programme provide enough layers of resilience to keep me going, and hopefully build towards a happier life.”
