About the event
You’re invited to the private view of Un-Shuttered: LGBTQ+ Histories Hidden in Plain Sight, a new exhibition created by our local LGBTQ+ community.
Over the past few months, participants have explored Chester through photography, storytelling and zine-making, uncovering the LGBTQ+ histories and stories that can be found in everyday places.
The exhibition brings these discoveries together through photography and oral histories - creating a colourful and personal portrait of LGBTQ+ life, past and present.
Alongside Un-Shuttered, the exhibition will also feature artwork from True Colours and Youth Voices, celebrating the creativity of people across different generations.
Come along, have a look around, meet the people behind the project, share stories, and help us celebrate the work that has been created.
